Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in Bocas del Toro
Coming from Salvador da Bahia, Brazil, Rafael Ribeiro will be giving the Jiu-Jítsu classes during this camp at the local Bocas Fight Gym on Isla Colon, Bocas del Toro. Since 2014 Bocas Fitness & Fight Gym has been offering Brazilian jiu jitsu, Muay Thai training, bootcamp (kickboxing/cross fit) training and more. The gym is located only steps from the beach on Isla Colon, and has excellent mats, well kept and a blessing for those traveling fighters visiting Bocas del Toro and still looking for a place to train.
A few things about Rafael Ribeiro:
– 8x state champion
– North-northeast regional champion
– 3rd placed in the Brazilian championship
– South American champion
He graduated for his black belt in 2009 and obtained the first grade in 2012. Rafael acts as a technical and physical BJJ and surf coach for athletes in Brazil. He also works in a scientific research team to improve the effectiveness of training for martial arts.
