What to do on Isla Bastimentos
You can easily walk around Bastimentos town on your own, and get acquainted with the local population and their way of life. Be careful, you may fall in love!
If you are a beach lover, get to know the island and visit Wizard (First) Beach and Red Frog Beach. Experienced surfers will enjoy the waves, whereas the rest of us can go for a nice refreshing swim, or tan on the white sand beaches while sipping on a cocktail or an ice cold beer.
If you like more of a challenge, you should definitely hike up to “Up in the Hill”, a small organic farm and cafe where you can enjoy a large array of organic home made products, all home made from local ingredients. Definitely a must!
Just ask the staff at the Caribbean view, and they will set you up with boat tours to Bahia Honda, take you to the Trail of the Sloth, visit the Ngobe indigenous communities, or take you scuba diving through local operators.
