What’s not to love about bed and breakfasts? We love the quaint, homey vibes that comes with B&Bs- and when they’re located beachside, where mega-resorts are more often the norm, they feel even more like hidden gems. Turtle Beach House is definitely a new hidden gem in the Bocas archipelago.
Located on one of Bocas’ most beautiful beaches is Turtle Beach House, a small 4-suite beachfront bed and breakfast on Bluff Beach, Isla Colon. Their unique setting offers a 5 kilometer golden sand, crystal clear beach out front, and a lush, teeming with wildlife rainforest in the back. Whether your looking for a vacation packed with adventure or just a quiet secluded beach to soak up the Caribbean sun or sleep on a hammock on the beach then Turtle Beach House is the perfect choice.
This small B&B has two ground floor suites and two upstairs. All four offer the comfort you would expect from home with one major difference- its off the grid. Turtle Beach House uses solar power and rain catchment system for water. They aim to have a low carbon footprint, while providing tasteful, comfortable accommodations.
There is a large shared kitchen on the main floor and a sitting area where you can meet with friends, read or watch a DVD. Breakfast is served on the spacious deck, and the B&B offers daily maid service. All linen, bath and beach towels are provided.
If your idea of the perfect vacation is just relaxing, Turtle Beach House is a great place to do just that. The ocean is a few steps from the house with long, secluded, golden beaches in either direction. Look for sloths and other wild life in their beautiful gardens or have a snooze in a hammock. When you are ready for a tropical cocktail and something to eat there are a few great options close to the B&B.
